Application Deadline
- Applications must be received by June 1, 2025, to ensure course confirmation and avoid cancellations.
- Applications submitted after June 1st will incur a $50 late registration fee.
- Space permitting, applications will be accepted until the start of class. However, enrollment is limited for some courses.
- If a course is full before an application is received, the applicant will be placed on a waiting list and notified if space becomes available.

Payment Information
- Deadline: Full tuition payment must be submitted or postmarked by June 15, 2025.
- Payments made after June 15th will incur a $50 late payment fee.

- Purchase orders are not accepted for tuition.

Non-Credit Course Information
- Non-credit registrants are expected to fully participate in class activities (e.g., exercises, assignments, discussions).
- However, they are not required to complete a final exam or project for grading.
- No official grade will be assigned.
Graduate Course Credit Information
- Course content, homework, participation, and grading requirements are reviewed by the Advisory Committee on Academic Programs of the School of Public Health.
- Credits earned are valid for various U-M academic programs. However, acceptance of these credits at other institutions depends on their individual policies.
Grading for Graduate Credit
- The Summer Session adheres to the University of Michigan School of Public Health’s grading policies.
- Instructors will provide specific grading requirements (e.g., assignments, exams, presentations) in the course syllabus, including clear deadlines and grading criteria.
Federal Financial Aid
- To qualify for financial aid at the University of Michigan, students must:
- Be accepted for enrollment and enrolled at least half-time.
- Be working toward a degree or combined degree/certificate.
- Students enrolled only in a certificate program are NOT eligible for federal student aid, including loans.
- Students may apply for aid before acceptance or enrollment.
